I spent a while trying to get a clean run on this fight and incorporating the fable art parry as much as I can. And while the fight was definitely clean I feel like I could’ve done more Fable Art parries in phase . Romeo was an interesting one though. While the parry timing is the same for the Fable Art it also has to be perfect or else you do the dodge instead of the parry and due to the hitbox on Romeo’s Scythe it actually got a little tricky depending on how close or far I was to him. On top of that I’ve noticed P moves backwards using the parry too. This is the reason why I didn’t parry the firefowl dance this way and just fable parried the very end of it. When I practiced trying it this way, P would shuffle backwards and be out of range of the other scythe attacks, messing up the rhythm and getting me hit. On top of all of that it’s much harder to tell when Romeo will continue or end his combos. As far as I can tell he doesn’t have exact set patterns like other bosses and can either stop or extend his combo strings, which made it difficult for me to discern when it was safe to go for the light follow up on some of my parries.
While I did wish I parried a bit more in phase 2 I was still happy with the consistency of my parries I did do and the fight overall. Also noticed watching back that I didn’t take a single direct hit from Romeo in phase 2 either😄honestly id say across all my runs, this my absolute cleanest fight against him!
