Really fighting the urge to add a 'u' to the title!, entitled "Side A". The gameplay is presented completely 'as is', the gameplay is unedited.
My only concession to editing for the video is to hopefully make it a more enjoyable for you to view. I don't know about you, but I find staring loading screen tedious, and as usual in my videos, I see no reason to subject my viewers to them when I have the ability to remove them! I hope it makes it more enjoyable for you to view. I feel it adds to the TV series like feel of it too.
As with my previous videos of games in the series, I aim to leave all licenced music intact, accepting the inevitable copyright claims. I'm not monetized at this point, so a bit of missed ad revenue doesn't bother me anyway. The music is an integral part of all Life is Strange games, really setting the mood and feel, and selling the TV series like nature of it. No way is it getting messed with on my watch!
You do not need to have seen/played any of the previous games to enjoy True Colors, as it is standalone story.

Life Is Strange: True Colors is a graphic adventure video game developed by Deck Nine and published by Square Enix's European subsidiary. This represents a change of developer, with Dontnod Entertainment having made the original Life is Strange and sequel Life is Strange 2. Deck Nine have previously been involved however, having made the prequel to the original game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. As with the previous installments it features a completely new characters and storyline, while taking place in the same overall universe, with some potential overlapping of supporting characters on occasion.
The game was released on 10 September 2021, and in a breakaway from the previous episodes release pattern, the game was released in it entirety. It feeatures 5 main chapters, similar to the previous installments episode releases, plus an DLC "Wavelengths" featuring the character Steph, which comes with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game. "Wavelengths" will be released on September 30th 2021. As well PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, it was released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, Microsoft Windows and will be released at a later date for Nintendo Switch.
It is the fifth installment in the Life Is Strange series, and the third mainline game, succeeding Life Is Strange 2. The plot focuses on Alex Chen, a young woman who can experience the emotions of others, as she tries to solve the mystery behind her brother's death.
Gameplay
Life Is Strange: True Colors is played from a third-person view. The player controls the protagonist, Alex Chen, to explore various locations in the fictional setting of Haven Springs and communicate with non-playable characters through the conversation system based on dialogue trees. Alex has psychic empathy power that allows her to read and manipulate the emotions, which she perceives as colorful auras, to physically see how others feel around her at the cost of being "infected" by their emotions. Some of the non-player characters will have more intense auras indicating trauma or hardship they may be going through. When Alex interacts with them, this creates a "nova" that appears to transform the world around Alex and the character to reflect elements of this trauma, giving the opportunity for the player to figure out what exactly is wrong and to opt to guide Alex in helping to comfort the character.
Plot
Alex Chen, a young Chinese American woman who has grown up in a foster family and has had a troubled childhood, reunites with her brother Gabe eight years later when he encourages her to return. After Gabe is killed in a mysterious accident, Alex investigates the truth behind the accident by using her empathy powers. Along the way, Alex meets many citizens of Colorado's picturesque mountain town of Haven Springs, including two potential love interests, Ryan and Steph, the latter of whom appeared in Life Is Strange: Before the Storm.
