Linux Processes and the proc File System
In this Linux tutorial for beginners, the BeginLinux Guru shows you the proc filesystem, and explains what it has to do with Linux process management. As an added bonus, we'll also look at a cool Linux security and hardening tip that will allow you to hide system processes from other users.
Information in this video could help you prepare for certain Linux certification exams, such as the CompTIA Linux+ exam, a Linux Professional Institute exam (LPI exam), or a Red Hat Linux certification exam.
For other cool security tips, be sure to check out my book, "Mastering Linux Security and Hardening", and its companion video course of the same name.
