Little Witch Nobeta Early Access Final Boss: Monica
4I never knew there was a checkpoint after the teddy bear.
Monica especially in this form is less of a traditional soulslike boss and more like an event fight.
That arm swipe of hers is like the one bad hitbox in this game so make sure you are far away when she starts moving it or just counter.
Otherwise this boss takes considerably more damage than others but she also has far more HP so the only reliable source of damage is an Ice rain or using the arcane shot to counter her explosion charge in her face.
She has multiple fire attacks either in the spray and pray variety or in the semi homing shot variety. Just mind your position because if this fight feels like old iron king from dark souls 2 well that's for good reason (although here it's actually fun)
She also has an attack where she tries to crush you between both arms which looks real scary but it's probably the easiest attack to counter in the game once you notice her arms pulling back. This attack is always and I mean ALWAYS followed up by her charge attack (this is so you can get more consistent damage in)
Her charge can be one of two attacks. At long range she'll throw a massive explosion that can suck you into the blast radius. This is dangerous and can launch you out of the arena if you don't recover quick enough but is still able to be dodged. Far scarier is the second attack at close range where the ignites both of her arms and slams the middle of the arena. If this hits you you just straight up die because she permanently destroys half of the arena. Thankfully that is her rarest attack. Afterwards congratulations you have beaten the early access version of little witch nobeta... although there is an optional challenge dungeon...
Also I remember thinking how she kinda looked like the Vtuber Fubuki and now this game is getting voice acting and GUESS WHO HER VOICE ACTOR IS
