Lollypop : L1 Toy Factory : Amiga (Full Game)
2I played the PC DOS version but got stuck at level 2 so i found an Amiga port,so feeling like i could go the distance here's the full game on WinUAE.
The game is ECS (16 bit A500+ 600) not AGA, 32 bit 1200/4000 Amiga's,it looks a bit tired and lack lustre,and being as late as 1995 it makes the developers look like they just couldn't be bothered to make a version to run on the later faster better hardware.
Not to mention the numerous filler sections,repetitive game play,find a puzzle piece,repeat 4 times a level,pick ups that kill or reverse your controls,laborious levels, as level 5 being a good example of a maze like layout that causes you to search and go down multiple dead ends,illogical side rooms that may or not hide a puzzle piece,which sometimes the room can be optional but other times it is required to progress.
The coarse backgrounds, unrelenting pressure the enemies put you under and the plagiarism dressed up to look like homage of earlier games level 4 is a Ghouls and Ghosts rip off or salute,and a thinly veiled Zool 1 level add up to a game that promises a lot and looks good (PC version),but fails to make any real impact other than its too hard at times,tries too hard and makes you feel the developers wanted it to look nice,but they were either new to making games or were too over whelmed to make a coherent intuitive engaging plat former that in the age of Zool 2 and it's like puts it at a disadvantage along with the fact that is not AGA and there's a bug that crashes the machine in level 6 and 7 which should have been fixed at the time is a poor effort, and it could have been a very good game,shame that...
