2Long Plays #91. Today we are playing "Dying Light" on Steam. really fun, story rich, open world, melee combat action, and best with co-op. I'm playing with my dear ol' dad, Tominator and my son Dom.
This is the nientieonieff entry of my Long Play series. Dying Light is First-person action survival game set in a post-apocalyptic open world overrun by flesh-hungry zombies. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious virus epidemic. Scavenge for supplies, craft weapons, and face hordes of the infected. pretty fun, and great co-op too.
The idea of a long play is, to capture the raw game play experience, with little to no added commentary, effects, jokes, memes, jump cuts, edits or otherwise molest the original game play recording. I believe a long play should not be a review, tutorial, or anything else to effect the experience of the actual game play (that would be the purpose of my "Let's Try Out" or a "let's play" video series). I think mostly this sort of video formula is employed when playing single player only games where story and experience is largely structured, linear, non open world, and non-emergent gameplay.
