Lufthansa flew an A380 to LAX for the first time in 3 years | ATC Audio
41Lufthansa stopped flying the A380 during the pandemic. We all thought they were going to get rid of them altogether like Air France and China Southern. But No! International premium travel especially to the USA has been doing so well that they changed their minds and brought the giant back into service, first to JFK but now the longer LAX route. Right now 4 out of 8 of their A380s are in service with the others still parked or in maintenance.
Today (Thursday Oct 26th 2023) Lufthansa restarted the A380 service on the Munich - LAX route and we follow the flight with Microsoft Flight Simulator and listen to the actual ATC. Frankfurt-LAX is still being flown with the 747-8 currently.
