A generic Sonic 1 ROMhack (by CHRdutch) is a Rom-hack, which mainly focuses on level design. It`s goal is to make the levels feel fresh, even though you`re playing through the same zones again.

The current levels include: GHZ1, GHZ2, GHZ3, MZ1, SS1 and SS2.

Crush Dr. Eggman‼

After Dr. Eggman`s defeat in Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, the Death Egg MK II has crash landed on South Island.
Dr. Eggman, who`s still recovering from the crash landing, immediately recognises where he landed.
"Wow, the graphics really are a lot worse here", Dr. Eggman said upon looking at the pixelated trees.

So, using his knowledge of South Island, and improving on his plan from last time, Dr. Eggman builds his new and improved base on South Island.
And with the six chaos emeralds being lost once again (how does Sonic keep losing those?), Dr. Eggman already knows where to find a power source for the Death Egg MK II. It`s up to Sonic to stop him (again)!
