This series is dedicated to my challenges of games that meet the criteria for apricotsushi's community game along (featured on chic-pixel.com)

For May 2019, the theme was #GameFreakMonth, honoring developer Game Freak's rich history. They are primarily known for the Pokemon series. But here, I chose to play one of their earliest titles. Smart Ball, originally known as Jerry Boy.

It's a mess. A very broken mess. Aesthetics are nice though. The Smart Ball release omits any of the story established in the original release, so here's my twitter thread about the story:
