This is a Tool Assisted Speedrun of String Theory made in a development build of Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero (which has since been released). You can download the final game here: http://magmmlcontest.com/episodeZero.php
It was created using leftover input recording software in dev builds of the game that I briefly reactivated just to see how an actual speedrun might look (though some inputs such as the weapon wheel didn't exist in the recording code yet). This system does not exist in the final game, partly due to the fact randomization saving is supposedly broken (though for String Theory, the only randomization that's potentially an issue is Recluse Woman's fight).
The TAS was made simply by slowing down the game to about 5FPS and playing through normally with the recorder on, resulting in a small number of hiccups at times, and stopped recording at the Recluse Woman fight either due to the Up+Special input I recorded trying to skip the cutscene, or the boss dialogue auto-stopping any recording, I'm still not sure which.
Keep in mind that the development build was made before the official 1.0 release, so some mechanics may slightly different from that or later releases (in particular, chip-based speedup horizontally while climbing webs wasn't implemented yet).
