Making the Forth Rail Bridge, Scotland in Far Cry 5! (PS4)
The Forth Rail Bridge is a railway bridge in the east of Scotland, near my home city of Edinburgh. It is considered a symbol of Scotland, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It was designed by the English engineers Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker. Construction of the bridge began in 1882 and at it's peak approximately 4600 workers were employed in it's construction.
When the bridge finally opened in 1890, it had the longest single cantilever bridge span in the world, until 1919 when the Quebec Bridge in Canada was completed. It continues to be the world's second-longest single cantilever bridge, with a span of 1,709 feet (521 m).
