0Echoes is definitely a somewhat contested title in the series. Whereas the original Prime played things relatively safe, Echoes took a lot of risks and had a very troubled development cycle besides. What results is a game that is both shockingly well-held together considering the strain it was put under and yet undeniably held back by circumstance. But it's because of those risks and challenges that I consider it on level ground with the first game, even if there's some give-and-take between the two.
