Mark Kermode reviews The Railway Man. Based on a true story, The Railway Man tells the story of Eric Lomax (Colin Firth) an allied prisoner of war who was forced to work on the construction of the Thai/Burma railway during WW2. Years later Eric discovers that his Japanese tormentor is still alive and must now decide on whether or not to confront him or continue to suppress his demons.
