On 19 December 2013, Camouflaj, LLC, and first-time game developer Logan paired to create a stealth-action game in the dystopian setting of Metamorphosis, a facility of detainment and brainwashing found within an unnamed communist land. The game was successfully funded through Kickstarter to the tune of US $500,000 in May 2012 and released first for iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.). Windows and Mac versions were due to be released in 2014.
Players control two separate entities: Hope, a woman slated for "recalibration" for having read "seditious" literature; and a computer system that (in the storyline) is presumably controlled by an unknown individual named "Cooper." Cooper is attempting to help Hope escape from Metamorphosis by manipulating computers, door locks, etc. via taps on the iOS device. This allows her to become aware of enemies she could normally not see. When the coast is clear, the player then taps various locations to either walk, crouch-and-peek, run, or hide on her way through the facility and to safety.
Will Hope make it out alive? Can she trust anyone within Metamorphosis, including Cooper? Let's play République and see!
