Over the years, there have been a number of unofficial fan-made compilations of the Mata Nui Online Game soundtrack. They're probably the closest we'll ever get to the real thing; Templar Studios did express interest in releasing a remastered high-quality soundtrack for us fans, but sadly the original music files have been lost to time.

One song from Mata Nui Online Game that always gets overlooked is the Le-Wahi theme. It only plays once in the whole game, in a segment that barely lasts a minute (even less than that if the player doesn't bring Taipu), giving the track no time to develop and become as fondly-remembered as the rest of the soundtrack. I doubt that you knew that the full track is over 13 minutes long.

The unofficial MNOLG soundtrack compiled several years ago includes an abridged mix of the track called "A Walk in the Jungle", but that doesn't do it justice. For years, I've been wanting to make a nice high-quality (or as high-quality as allowed by the compressed music files) recording of the full track.

And for a 13-minute-long track consisting of loops only 12 seconds long, I'd say it's actually very well composed, even if it is rather repetitious. The whole thing is just so well put together, in my opinion. It has a clear direction, starting point, and final destination. It perfectly reflects how Taipu's excitement and desire to explore this beautiful jungle eventually gives way to the tragedy of Le-Koro's fate at the hands of the Nui-Rama swarm.

Instruments fade in and out over the course of the song, beginning with a catchy drum rhythm and finally ending with a mournful choir chant. But even then, if you listen closely at the beginning, you can hear the choir and the marimba harmony very faintly in the background. Even when the instruments don't change, the song is still subject to developments such as crescendos and other dynamic shifts. As such, the "table of contents" below only refers to the loops that are plainly heard:
