What can change the nature of a man? One answer might very well be Black Isle's Planescape: Torment, a Platinum Age masterpiece of the late 90s. It is, after all, on the short list of the best ever CRPGs, but it really stands in a class by itself. Built with Bioware's infinity engine (the same used for Baldur's Gate), Planescape: Torment avoids fantasy clichés like elves and dragons, opting instead for a more surrealistic, metaphysical setting and some truly disturbed characters.
