13One of the most amazing run and gun action games of all time with blistering difficulty. This particular game is almost impossible for mere mortals to clear and no shame in using Game Genie codes to see all of the game. The game plays more like a Contra style game (with some shmup sections) than it does a platforming game, and your focus and stamina is worn down from what sometimes feels like infinite waves of enemies coming at you from all directions. Almost all longplays you see on YouTube are using save states to clear games but true respect to anyone that clears this game without save states or cheats.
The extremely powerful dark electronic music here is by legend Jesper Kyd who now is possibly more well known for his music on the Hitman or Borderlands series. The loops are so long there is no need to repeat twice (in fact some here are cut a bit short for listenability). Every Adventures of Batman & Robin game done in this time period were developed by separate teams and completely different games. The SNES/SFC version is a Konami game with Japanese developers, both games have a lot of special effects wizardry and very high quality games. One of the game designers behind the Genesis/MD version (John O' Brien) was a veteran Batman game developer, having worked on licensed games since C64 / Amiga days and you can really tell the game has a demo scene flair attached to it with the programmers showing off their skills on every level of the game.
