Mega Man 2 - (NES) - Full Playthrough
14I keep telling myself that I'm going to take a small break from this, but I played 'Mega Man' last week. It was all I could do to stop myself from jumping right into 'Mega Man II'!
The first Mega Man game was not too commercially successful. Yet, 'Mega Man II' is actually the bestselling Mega Man game. The game follows roughly the same structure, but this time you face eight Robot Masters, with six stages for Dr. Wily's fortress afterwards for a total of fourteen stages compared to ten for the original. The gameplay is virtually identical, except for the addition of the 'E-tank'.
I had this game as a kid. It was the first Mega Man game I ever played. I played it a lot, so it was a fairly quick and easy playthrough. I didn't remember some of the final bosses, so that was a nice surprise to revisit that. Mega Man games are always 'tough but fair', but it definitely feels like this one is easier than the first game.
