Boomer Kuwanger is easy. As long as you keep moving, he can't hit you. Hell, I've beaten him many times without taking a single hit with the X-Buster alone on numerous occasions. Unfortunately his consistent teleport spamming, when his health is severely depleted, can get annoying and throw you off so be careful.

As for Sting Chameleon, I don't ever bother using the X-Buster cause I always try to end his fight early. Also, some extra collectibles along the way and then it's on to Sigma's fortress.
