In case you don't know what VRC7 is then I'll tell you.

It's a Sound Expansion made by Konami where they've making many version's of VRC's sound expansions on the NES.
The one that most people know is the VRC6 which is many people use on the famous NES tracker "Famitracker"

The Konami VRC7 is actually a Clone of the YM2413 (a cheaper version of the YM3813)
The YM2413 was also used as a sound expansion for the MSX & the Sega Master System.

So you 1st got the original NES soundchip (2 squares, 1 triangle, 1 noise, & 1 DPCM) + with the VRC7 expansion which add 6FM sound channels. (kinda like the Sega Genesis but a little more limited)
