We head into the Weapon Center stage and immediately we are greeted by a huge reploid. Aila calls it Iluminia and tells us to destroy the cables which will destroy her. The stage is messy as heck with the nightmare placement and the fact that you have more enemies coming towards you is ridiculous. Oh, and did I mention Iluminia? You have to deal with not only with the nightmare but also her blasting at you which can get annoying. In her 2nd phase she sends out three enemies and has a laser and if it detects you, you are getting blasted in the face with lasers. Furthermore, let's talk about the nightmare system. You might see these iron blocks that appear, right? Well since we've defeated Metal Shark Player, it caused them to appear here. Basically the nightmare system is like the X1 stage effect system where if you beat the stages, it'll have an effect on other stages like Chill Penguin and Flame Mammoth. X6 brings that back, but in a more sloppier way. Instead of affecting the stage to help the player, all it does is make things more needlessly difficult and hurt the player causing frustration. The effects in other stages would be darkness, bugs, blocks, wind/rain, raining fireballs, ice, and shadows of X and Zero. What doesn't help either in this stage is the reploid placement. Remember what I said about having to deal with all of those enemies? You also to save the reploids too while avoiding to not get hit. total bullshit I know. We go to the 2nd area and there is a dr.light capsule, heart tank, and more reploids to save. Be careful, since you're on the ropes and there's a huge pit in the middle of the room and there's nothing to catch you if you fall. Anyway, we fight Nightmare Zero and he is basically Zero from the X5 X vs Zero fight. He isn't too hard, and hey we get Zero back.
