I've just started speed running this game I had managed to cut my time from ~27min to~24 when I decided to record a full run.

Apologies for the off screen cam, My stream setup was laggy so i went old school. This is also far from a perfect run (death, many item switch fumbles, and some wasted opportunities) but it's currently my Personal Best.

I'll be iterating on this pretty frequently, especially when I get my stream/recording station properly set up and lag free.

Notes:

Air Man: minor issues such as unnecessary hits taken and poorly timed jumps.
Boss gave me ok RNG though i missed a few jumps to avoid damage and some shots as well.

Clash Man: Im missing my jumps to mount Rush Jet, he appears based on where you are located vertically on screen, so some jumps put him higher than anticipated. @ 03:26 you can damage boost off of the 4th enemy pellet and get trough the door with only 1 hit. On the boss, a single buster shot sets you up for the kill with air shots, but i miss, and run out of ammo.

Metal Man: Stage and boss are ok, I get lucky with a health drop at the end, can still do with getting hit a little less.

Wood Man: Stage is ok, boss is pretty much perfect.

Magnet Man: Towards the end of the stage I use a safe strat and get the Etank and extra health, which proves useful later on.

Hard Man: Goes ok, once again taking too many hits

Top Man: I mess up some shots and jumps in the stage which cost me some time, but the boss here is pretty perfect as well.

Needle Man: @ 20:39 during the needle segment, I hold back and waste time as opposed to using my etank and pressing forward

Quint: I miss my first shot at his invisible hit box, which meant I had to switch to bust after running out of hard and clash ammo. I also didnt attempt double shots with the buster.

Wily: Obvious fail, I die. Having used an extra e tank for safety on Hard Man, I was without my safety here and it hurt in the long run. also did not get my double shots until wily's 3rd form.

Overall, I can easily save 1 min plus if i manage not to die and take fewer unnecessary hits. Other improvements like better pause menu navigation and tightening up my missed Rush Jet jumps will also go a long way.
