150Snake has been fighting with the Ape Escape monkeys since the original 2004 release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. But Ape Escape is a Sony-exclusive franchise, which means when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was being developed for non-PlayStation platforms, Konami had to get creative.
Snake vs. Monkey still exists on the PlayStation 5 versions of the game, but for Xbox, it's Snake vs. Bomberman. You can check out the first three levels of the mode here, where rather than tracking down a grabbing Ape Escape monkeys, Snake must thrown Bomberman bombs at all kinds of different Bombermen.
