Just to clarify: Metroid II: Return of Samus was originally released in 1991 for the Game Boy (the black-and-white handheld), not the Game Boy Color.

However:
You can play it on a Game Boy Color, but it will just display in limited preset color palettes (like other original GB titles).
Nintendo never released an official Game Boy Color-exclusive or enhanced version of Metroid II. #gameboy
