Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is going to be receiving a subscription service that adds two "plans" to the game. Plan 1) You get a camp caretaker. Plan 2) Receive fortune cookies and storage options for clothing and furniture at a warehouse.
With these future plans for the mobile game, it's hard not to get worried about Animal Crossing: New Horizons getting micro-transactions as well.
