The way flares are being used make them a little too niche to be worth teaching, but you can definitely figure out how it works if you follow the nova
walkthrough and do some trial and error yourself.

Scroll down and change the x random and y random values of the flare interceptor processors to change the patrol area (you can also do exact numbers to do vertical or horizontal lines, or make x = to y to make a diagonal line.

Low x values = left, high = right, low y = down, high = up.

Basic flare interceptor processor (Use this by default, especially if its your first time messing with the schematic)
