Mondschein Part 1 - To The Stars
29Welcome to my walkthrough video series of the german RPG Maker classic "Mondschein" (lit. "Moonlight") by ani-kun, released in 2003. (And yes, I'm _not_ ani-kun.) While it may be not graphically impressing, it has a _very_ beautiful story, soundtrack, lovable characters and a whole lot of humor, thus making it my personal all-time favorite video game across all genres and consoles.
To improve the music quality, I remastered all MIDI files for correct and improved live playback on my Yamaha keyboard. Please check out the high quality version for the original stereo sound!
The game begins with an old man, thinking about his long life... With the music choice of "Singing Mountain", an unreleased track from Chrono Trigger, it immediately becomes the most emotional and, somehow, most sad scene in the game. *sniff* (I actually cried on recording this. I'm damn serious.)
