100% Pure Uncut Crock — It's time for yet another Monsieur Herr album. The stops have been pulled; the shops have been closed; the exits are clearly marked.
There's a 20-something white guy with a patchy beard wearing silly clothes and he's looking at me funny from the other end of the hallway. He's probably holding a kitchen knife behind his back. Pop music is playing from somewhere and it sounds like how he looks. He doesn't seem very pleased that I'm not taking him seriously. I can see him mouth the words, "Please, oh please, would you buy the new Monsieur Herr album, Dusk AM? It's actually pretty good. There are 12 songs on it and they all come together to form a cohesive whole. The lyrics are funny and even a little tongue-in-cheek at first glance, but reveal hidden depths upon closer inspection. I think you'd really like it."
He stops for a moment, then continues: "Oh, by the way, I almost forgot to mention. Purchasing the album on Bandcamp will net you a handful of bonus tracks as well as THE DUSK AM MANIFESTO, featuring an outline of my secret evil plan for this album as well as track-by-track commentary. It's like the Communist Manifesto if it was about Dusk AM instead of communism."
I'm not sure whether or not I should listen to him. He looks like the kind of person who would write his own album descriptions. He probably thinks he's outrageously funny. No, I don't think I'll buy Dusk AM, the new Monsieur Herr album, after all. I vehemently detest eccentric pop music with a 21st century postmodern DIY edge on principle. I think what I will do is I will purchase any other album that is not this one.
