Moon Patrol (ムーンパトロール, Mūn Patorōru) is a side-scrolling arcade shooter game developed and released by Irem in 1982. It was licensed to Williams for distribution in North America. Moon Patrol is often credited with the introduction of parallax scrolling in side-scrolling games. Taito's Jungle King, a side-scroller released the same month as Moon Patrol, also uses parallax scrolling.
