Moonlighter (Review): Carrying The Load
Moonlighter does a great job of keeping things simple, but is it too simple for its own good? Being a shop owner and having dual gameplay has been done before in games like Recettear and Al Fine, but Moonlighter brings a bit more presentation and art into the mix, while cutting those pesky characters out of the game. The question is, can all these changes make it stand out for you to buy it? That's what I'm here to find out in this review.
Scoring System:
90+: A day one/immediate buy, regardless of genre.
80-89: A Solid Buy for all cases, unless you're hurting for cash right now.
70-79: Purchase for lovers of the primary genre right away. Otherwise, wait until the game has a reasonable sale.
60-69: Only pick up the game at a significant discount.
Less then 59: Not worth a purchase, avoid.
