Mortal Kombat 1 (Steam Via Steam Deck)
1So after a bunch of troubleshooting I was able to get my game recorder to record some gameplay of the new Mortal Kombat. It wasn't easy. First I was getting no picture on one device then the other no sound until I figured out how to tweak the settings on the Deck. Also had to deal with a faulty connection but finally everything worked. Wasn't too happy with the visuals but next time it might help to switch my Switch recorder to 1080p instead of the 720p setting I always use since most of the Switch games seem to be 720p. Also it saves harddrive space to record at 720p. 720p doesn't always look so good on bigger screens. On a smaller screen you don't notice as much I think. For some reason I am really interested in how much better the MK team can get the Switch version looking after they promised it was gonna get a fix due to all the backlash. Pretty sad to release a shitty version of a game then price it the same as the versions on higher powered hardware. Its strange too because MK 11 runs wonderfully on my Switch. I got it dirt cheap when it was on sale months ago. Take your time to optimze your games before releasing them people. Meanwhile tonight Ima try MK1 on the Steam Deck in handheld mode to see if it performs any better. As it stands in dock mode, broadcasting to my tv; too often it looks kinda fugly. Maybe I can tweak the settings. This is actually something I've yet to do on my Deck for any games...!
