RTS #8129 has a broken switch that the doors normally activate when closed, which keeps the "Stop Requested" sign on. Since that switch was broken, it was assuming the doors were open, so whenever you pushed the tape, that "Stop Requested" sign won't stay on, and you can ding it as many times as you want.

Sorta like the old Triboro Coach GMC buses that lacked the "Stop Requested" signa and had only the chimes.
