My first attempts at music making
Today September 4, 2022, It's been one whole year since I started using LMMS for music making.
It was around that time that I got the idea to make a Friday Night Funkin' mod revolving around Paper Mario Sticker Star.
The mod would be named Boo Night Funkin', and up until now, due to inconsistent work on the project from my part, it still has a long way for it to even begin to see the light of day.
But it will certainly release one day. I wish to be able to finish it once and for all, more sooner than later.
When I first started using LMMS, I got to know thanks to a friend how to use the basic features, and since then, I started working on the tracks I wanted for the FNF mod. I was quite fascinated, as I spent almost all of my time working on them. I did neglect some of my school responsibilities during that period, but it was well worth it in my eyes.
To this day, I have tried many times rewriting these few songs from zero, for them to have a higher standard of quality (I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, that's likely why this mod hasn't been finished yet).
I did so many test songs because of my work process. I did something, I listened to it much and asked for feedback to some friends, made some adjustments, and repeat. As this was literally my first time doing something like this, I found this work process enjoyable.
Now, the Watermelon Jungle and Yarn Desert tracks were meant to be used for a Game Jam. I originally intended using the Earthbound soundfont for all the tracks that'd be in the little game, but I eventually gave up the idea, due to how complicated it was to figure out how to use it effectively in such a short amount of time.
Therefore, I ended up with the tracks featured in:
[Asterisk: A Tale Of Milk OST]

Finally, I'll describe the main base for each series of tracks:
The [Enigmansion Test] tracks feature an arrangement trying to replicate [Waltz of the Boos] from Super Mario Galaxy mixed alongside [The Enigmansion] theme from Paper Mario Sticker Star.
The [Event Battle/Ghostly Guest] tracks feature an ATTEMPT at replicating the [Event Battle] boss theme from Paper Mario Sticker Star, but due to it being REALLY complicated for me at the time and not being enough, I ended up mixing [Waltz of the Boos] too.
The [Malevolent Magikoopa] tracks feature an attempt at replicating the Kamek boss fight theme from Paper Mario Sticker Star: [Kamek, Malevolent Magikoopa].
I heavily based the note positions of the track on this next video:
[Malevolent Magikoopa, Kamek Battle 8-BIT - Paper Mario: Sticker Star]

All the [Glooper Blooper] tracks have a typo in it I only realized when I finished making all these tests. Starting its making like Malevolent Magikoopa, by being an attempt at recreating the original Sticker Star track by ear and eye, I rewrote it a few days later as I eventually found a midi file for a more consistent base.
[Gooper Blooper Battle Boogie 8-BIT - Paper Mario: Sticker Star]

The [Watermelon Jungle] tracks are both completely original compositions, except for the part that is almost a direct rip from [Pirahna Plant's Lullaby] from Super Mario 64 on both of them.
On the same note, both [Yarn Desert] tracks use its [Watermelon Jungle] counterparts as a base.
And for the last series of tracks, the [Sticker Mayhem] tracks are arrangements based off of Paper Mario Sticker Star's Main Theme.
The [Final Remake] one is meant to be a sneak peak for the standard of quality I expect from the overall FNF mod I want to make.
There is much to be done.
