I see some people watching my dwarf fortress vids and if they're watching to glean some knowledge, I figured I'd put in the effort of doing a rundown of what I know about the game. I'm not super knowledgeable about everything and I might not be the best at explaining things concisely or well, but I figure I could put this out there explaining stuff I know about that could help anyone struggling to get into the game past the first couple of years.

There's a big break in this while neighbors gave me Christmas cookies. I apologize. I also forgot to mention a lot of stuff. I did my best to cover what I could with what I know about the game. I hope someone finds this useful!
