It's amazing how many gameplay problems made it into the retail version of this game. This is from game 3 of the playoffs in my player mode.

The patch says this about rebounding.

"The user should now notice more over-the-back calls on rebounds when the boxed out player attempts a rebound."

Hopefully this will stop offensive players from jumping for rebounds before the ball comes off the rim.

I actually played a crew game and the other crew was abusing this glitch. We had cpu rebounders that game and they would jump early and cause our cpu rebounders to jump early, and then they could get the offensive rebound on misses, especially missed freethrows.
