New Anti-Cheat detection for Overwatch! (FINALLY!) + more!
Welcome to The Screencap!
Blizzard has recently revealed a new version of cheat detection for Overwatch. This comes as great news since no one likes dealing with cheaters, especially in ranked play. In a recent developer update, Jeff Kaplan stated that if cheating is detected in an Overwatch match, that the game will be shut down, and that no players except the cheater will be penalized. They did not give any info on how they detect cheaters, or what type of punishment the cheaters receive, but this is a long requested feature that's finally being added to the game. Better late than never I guess. Let's just hope that the cheat detection doesn't throw any false flags for a player performing insanely well… I'm sure it will though…
