Nike is stepping up to counteract the usage of add to cart bots! They finally installed a Captcha style system by Confident Technologies, this will allow you to have to verify you are actually a human.

We had a bit of a surprise this AM when trying to purchase the Air Jordan 3 "Infrared23″ sneakers that dropped today March 8th, 2014.

So the new Nikestore checkout process looks like this:

Select the size you want of the shoe:

Then you have to use the Captcha and select 1 of 4 images with the word associated to the image in this 4 step process:

Once you successfully select all 4 images, then you are taken to the normal load screen that says "It's not in your cart yet".


What do you think of this new Nikestore process to counter act the bots? Do you think it will be helpful in the future or will the bots adapt? I think this is a great step showing us that Nike does care and they do want us to have a fair and safe shopping experience! Kudos to Nike for adapting and next up, add this captcha system to the RSVP process!
