Part 62 of a multiplayer playthrough of New Super Mario Bros Wii for the Nintendo Wii. Mario (MacDaddyNook), Luigi (SunBurntKen), Blue Toad (Duck) and Yellow Toad (RyuKasakei) trek through the first world on their quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser.

After his brief absence in World 7, Yellow Toad returns to help the team clear World 8.

World 8 is where the game's difficulty curve shoots right up, which is to be expected since this is the last normal world in the game. However, World 8 starts off with one of the toughest levels in the game.

World 8-1 is a nightmare to play on multiplayer. The level is made up of many tiny platforms separated by lava geysers that players must wait to go down before being able to move. Add in constant bombardment of rocks from above and a one-hit-kill smoke cloud constantly moving from the left and you have a very challenging level without the added risk of teammates accidentally bouncing each other into enemies or lava.
