Bout digital scarcity
And we talked technology
And it was fun and free
But sure, you heard about NFTs
Like a month ago
And now you’re very sure that you know
All that you need to know
You’re taking your disdain for the hype
Around blockchain
And mapping it on to this
Which is sensible
But you gotta see
Is that for those of us who have been
Working since 2017
It’s about flipping the scene
From giant tech companies
To owning things we’re making
And it’s very early
Nothing is quite ready
There’s tradeoffs that we fear
And so we hold on for dear
Life as we scream
