NHL '94 - Long Play (Sega Genesis)
"Breakfasts come and breakfasts go, but the Whale, they only beat Vancouver once, maybe twice a lifetime!"
NHL '94 is an Electronic Arts hockey game released November 1993. While further entries in the series would introduce more realism and technical gampleay, NHL '94 is widely held as the pinnacle of the NHL series from a pure fun and gameplay point. This was the first game in EA's NHL series to include full team rosters and logos. It introduced many new features such as shoot-outs, one-timers, flip and dump passes, and user goaltender control, although fighting was removed by the NHL's request. A testament to its enduring popularity was the inclusion of the NHL '94 'Anniversary Mode' in EA's later title, NHL 2014.
This is a long play of me taking on the newly-renamed Eastern Conference as the Hartford Whalers on my way to the Stanley Cup. Because why not Hartford?
NHL '94 was developed by EA Canada (who else?) and High Score Productions. It was released on the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and PC-DOS platforms.
