Because of the 1080p fullscreen bug, I play NieR:Automata at 1920 x 1080 in windowed mode. GeForce Experience (Shadowplay) doesn't really like this and used to "randomly" record at 1768 x 992 instead of 1080p

The following steps are what I have found fixes the issue for me and my setup to allow me to record the game, in windowed mode and without Desktop Capture enabled, in 1080p.

1) GeForce Experience is enabled and Desktop Capture is turned off. Start the game.

2) Go to Settings - Screen - Screen Mode and toggle Windowed, Fullscreen, Window to have GeForce Experience detect the game window for recording. You should now see the

3) GeForce Experience (Shadowplay) should now be recording the game window, but it will be recording at 1768 x 992 instead of 1920 x 1080.

4) Now use GeForce Experience (Shadowplay) to capture the last xx minutes of footage (default shortcut is ALT + F10) and from now until the game is exited it should record at 1920 x 1080, for both manual and DVR footage.
