Here we go into NinJanuary with our ninja themed video game romp! Today's game is the notorious Ninja Gaiden Sigma!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remade version of the original Ninja Gaiden game, developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo EU and Eidos Interactive. It was released on the PlayStation 3 on June 14, 2007, in Japan, and on July 3, 2007, in North America. The game incorporates several features from the Ninja Gaiden Black version and is marketed as a “more complete” version of the original Ninja Gaiden. However, it omits most of the bonus features from the previous versions, such as fewer unlockable costumes and the removal of the SNES and arcade unlockable games.
The game follows Ryu Hayabusa, a master ninja, on his quest to recover a stolen sword and avenge the slaughter of his clan by the Vigor Empire. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was later released for the Nintendo Switch on June 10, 2021, as part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection.
