INFO ON THIS VIDEO:
RetroZone presents 8-bit X-mas 2008. This was billed as a the first ever NES Christmas card. Listen to the retro holiday tunes in glorious 8-bit! There are 4 songs to choose from. Watch as snowflakes fall and eventually fill the screen. This is based on the snow demo by Anders Strand, by the way.
As you can see this particular cartridge is personalized for me (Matthew Henzel - VGO). The most obvious and coolest feature of this cartridge has to be the super bright LED X-mas lights within the clear plastic NES cartridge shell. You can change the pattern of LED lights and change the songs with the buttons. I have this being played on my NES-in-a-controller AKA "Famiclone" system, but it appears to be fully compatible with many different NES consoles including the original (toaster) and top loader models. I recommend using either the top loader or the controller Famiclone so you can see all of the LED blinking.
Overall I think it's a pretty cool cartridge for collectors and it of makes a great geeky Christmas decoration for the holidays.
This video was shot with a still digital cam and the sound was recorded directly from the NES system and mixed to fit the video.
