1,310Air canada flight 143 ran out of fuel at 40000 feet! The pilots decided to land at a racing track because there was no airport in their range. No one was injured. After investigation, they realised that the fuel was calculated in pounds instead of KGs, so they were basically carrying half the amount of fuel they needed!
