- you can't use the official menus/features while the program is running (you need to exit it before that, which will stop the LED blinking anyway)
- once you exit the program, the system does notice the LED port has been tampered with (even if you put back the LED in its original state - see 2nd test) and reboots, thus cancelling everything that you may have altered
