17My first time out at the Nordschleife / Nurburg Ring
With traffic, and the fear of buying a car/repairing the track at tremendous cost to me, not having a lot of experience tracking FWD cars... and, needing to go off line to let faster cars by, I think I still managed about 10 minutes. With no traffic and still worrying about that stuff I think I could have gotten around 9 but the other vehicles played a big roll. My goal was to go out, not crash and enjoy a tour around the track. I even held back a bit and let someone drive off because I didn't want to "Race" them in a turn and end up having them slide into me... They had caught and passed me originally but I caught them after, let them go, and caught them again at the end as I learned the car and the surface. I would have loved to have done more laps but, well.. budget, and it's not a cheap experience.
This was a fantastic time, and a bucket list experience for me. Big thanks to RSR for the car, and the awesome instructor. (He was more into me setting a fast time than I was haha.)
