When the card launched in late 2014, Nvidia touted the GTX 970 graphics card as a 4 gigabyte GDDR5 powerhouse. However, when people dug into the 970's hardware, they were surprised to find out that the GTX 970 was not a true 4 gigabyte card. Nvidia lied to their consumers and now they have to pay.
