Ocelot vs. BahdKo (50:12) — D2M1, 13.12.2000
The Devil came down to Norway.
BahdKo (Bad Company, Laura Herrmann): "Ocelot kicks serious ass.
In this game, I believe I was playing as well as I ever have, if not better than ever, as this was our last game at the Norway netparty and we had all been LAN dooming for the entire week. It's been a long time since anyone beat me quite as badly as Andy and Ocelot were at this netparty - - My scores are newbie-like with these two guys. I usually fared worst against Ocelot, because he deliberately plays as hard as he can against miserable little newbies like me (sniff). Ocelot and Andy are about two tiers in skill above me. It's amazing, the level to which doom skill can ascend, and Ocelot is definately the master here.
If you're going to watch this from both perspectives, I recommend watching mine first. This is so that you have the correct perspective when you watch from Ocelot's because from his point of view, almost everyone looks like they desperately suck. I am er, actually not a newbie, believe it or not, despite this 50 to 12 smackdown that you're about to watch. FYI: The reason I charge him with the handgun sometimes when I respawn close to him is because in our prior games, I had found that running away in that situation is frequently a free frag for him, even if you think you are running fast and you do what you think is unpredictable shit. It made sense to try to kill him or take off some hitpoints with the handgun before dying.
Ocelot is an amazing, extremely talented player. He would make an awesome tournament player too. I don't think I've seen talent quite like this before, and I'd put him up against any player I've ever played, especially in a high-pressure environment."
