I consider whether an RPG gives you a reason to defend besides trying to make a low health character survive long enough to be healed to be a very strong indicator whether the battles will be interesting. OFF is interesting for reasons besides battle, of course.

And yeah, we'll investigate Dedan's claim that the zone would be nothing without him later.
