First Officer William Murdoch was the Officer on duty the night the Titanic struck the iceberg. He gave the command to reverse the engines and turn the ship away from the iceberg, and that fateful night he was lost to the ocean as he worked diligently to save everyone aboard. His personal possessions have been discovered in his leather engraved toiletry bag and it gives a glimpse into the life of those aboard Titanic.
